Passing of Jim Pangle.

We were informed of Jim's passing by his wife Frankie.  His obituary follows.

James C. Pangle passed away on September 24, 2021, at the age of 76.  His battle with cancer and other illness showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and laughter.  Despite his pain, Jim enjoyed life and remained strong until the very end.

Jim, as he was known, was born in Washington, D.C., to Ida and Claude Pangle.  Jim married his best friend and soul mate, Frankie DiFrancesco, in 1967. He lived in Gaithersburg, Maryland, for several years before settling in Texas in 1981.  He loved Texas and was a proud Texan!

Jim established and grew a flourishing janitorial business, The Church Sexton, with his wife, Frankie.  Together, they specialized in cleaning churches with an appreciation for helping others in little ways. He loved his family, fishing, and traveling.  He visited all 50 states and many countries.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ida and Claude Pangle; sister Marian Jones of Jacksonville, Florida; brother Doug Johnston of Ontario, Canada; and sister Peggy Seco of Mecklenburg, North Carolina.

He is survived by his wife, Frankie Pangle; children, Wendy and her husband Ariel Gonzalez of Katy, Texas; Robin and her husband Joshua Pope of Katy, Texas; six grandchildren: Emily, Katelyn, Christopher, Carolyn, Connor, and Madison; and brother Ray Johnston of Ontario, Canada.

A private viewing will be held for the family.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Jim’s name to the American Cancer Society.
